Grow Dat Farm Dinners
Tickets are on sale NOW for Grow Dat's annual Spring Farm Dinner! This year, we are celebrating our New Orleans community and all the inspiring ways we have seen our neighbors showing up for each other! At Grow Dat, we know that building a more just and sustainable world is a group project. Recently, we have witnessed an incredible demonstration of neighbors in New Orleans, and across this country caring for each other out loud. From delivering groceries to vulnerable families to meeting in solidarity at Congo Square, these activations were built on the base of thousands of smaller moments of love and care. In this spirit, we invite you to our long table under the Big Oak, to share in a farm-fresh meal and to create more of these small, meaningful moments together, in hopes that we use them as building blocks to a brighter future. Every spring, Grow Dat collaborates with local New Orleans chefs and service industry professionals to host our farm dinner fundraiser. Set against the backdrop of the bayou and underneath the Big Oak tree, our annual farm dinner is an opportunity to showcase our produce and unite our supporters for an unforgettable evening in service of youth leadership and sustainable agriculture.
From a cocktail hour, to youth-led farm tours, to a four-course meal curated by local chefs, this event invites guests to connect to our mission, the soil beneath our feet, the delicious food on our plates, and the joyful company at our table. Proceeds from our farm dinner support Grow Dat young leaders as we collectively grow 50,000 pounds of food for our New Orleans community this year.
Farm Dinners FAQ
How does seating work?
Seating will be on a first-come basis.
What if it rains?
This event will be rain or shine. In the event of rain, we will shorten the tour and provide a tent for dining. In extreme weather conditions, the farm dinner may need to be rescheduled.
What if I have a dietary restriction?
We encourage each participating chef to create a dish they are excited about, because of this we are not able to guarantee that dietary restrictions can be accommodated. In the past, we have been able to work with chefs for gluten-free options, though this too is not guaranteed. Unfortunately, we cannot offer vegan and vegetarian alternatives. However, if you or someone in your party has a food allergy, please indicate it with your ticket purchase in the designated section so that we can ensure your safety.
Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are not refundable, but they are transferable. If you gift them or sell them to another party, please update the reservation details.
What should I wear?
We want you to be comfortable! Dress appropriately to navigate our farm, which includes rocky, grassy, and wooden pavements that occasionally get wet and/or slippery after rain. Be aware that the mosquitos may be as hungry as you are before you take your seat for dinner. We’ll provide DEET-free mosquito spray.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
We love kids, but this event is designed for adults 21+.
Please contact Kate Thorpe if you have any questions.
