Join us for one of the best local parties of the year!

Come on down to the farm for Grow Dat’s annual fundraiser, the Hootenanny! Get ready for an evening of dancing and festivities under the Louisiana night sky! Youth leaders will host farm games and food-themed activities, local restaurants will cook up delicious small plates, musicians will please the crowd with boot-stompin' tunes, and we'll offer unlimited craft cocktails and ice-cold beer. This year, we are excited to announce Cedryl Ballou and the Zydeco Trendsetters as our headlining performer, along with opening performances by Lost in the Holler and My Wife's Hat. Join us as we listen to live zydeco music, kick up our heels together, and celebrate food, agriculture, and New Orleans youth!

Tickets are $45 in advance (until 2 PM on Friday) / $60 at the door

Check out our advance auction items and start bidding early!
Featuring great prizes for nights out on the town, one-of-a-kind experiences,
and selections from local artisans and businesses.

Volunteer at the Hootenanny and get free entrance to the rest of the event!  Multiple volunteer shifts still open.

Patron Party and Sponsorship Details

From 5:30 - 6:30, we will host the Hootenanny's first annual patron party. The patron party will be an intimate evening of storytelling at the intersection of food and identity with stories from our staff, board, and fellows. This unique opportunity to hear the voices of Grow Dat will be accompanied by hors d'oeuvres and cocktails from Chef Tory McPhail and his James Beard award-winning team of Commander's Palace.

Please join us in our work this spring to raise $75,000 for Grow Dat Youth Farm and our youth leaders by purchasing a patron ticket to this special Grow Dat fundraising event.

If you or your business is interested in supporting Grow Dat's Hootenanny as an event sponsor, please check out the following sponsorship package for more information:

Grow Dat's mission is to nurture a diverse group of young leaders through the meaningful work of growing food. Each year we employ 60 young people from across New Orleans on our urban farm in City Park. Throughout our program, youth grow produce for their community while engaging in a range of workshops and leadership experiences around topics such as food and environmental justice. We focus on deep learning and communication across difference.

All proceeds from from the Hootenanny go towards supporting young New Orleans
leaders as they grow 20,000 pounds of food for their community this year!
