How do we work together effectively across difference? When a diverse group of people come together, misunderstandings are bound to come up. Grow Dat is offering two workshops to share some of the communication tools that help build Grow Dat's strong organizational culture--one that's built on high-level communication, authentic relationships, and learning from conflict when it arises. These workshops would be useful for anyone who works in management, works with young people or just works with groups of people; the tools we'll look at are useful for both youth and adults. . The second workshop introduces Real Talk, a practice for giving positive and constructive feedback that we use with all youth and adult staff on the farm. We'll explain the rationale behind the practice, provide a real time example of what it looks like, and think through ways to adapt it for your own setting.
Admission will be based on a sliding scale, $10-$45 paid at the event. Please register if you plan to come!
